Catholic Youth Summer Camp, Inc. (CYSC), now in its eighth year, has officially formed as a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. Over the course of the past year, CYSC leaders have begun securing the necessary operating resources from supportive benefactors to position the camp for a long-term future. In addition to these resources, The Sean P. Reed Memorial Endowment Fund has been established with The Foundation of the Catholic Diocese of Columbus to help provide for the long term operating needs of CYSC, Inc.

CYSC is a high adventure camp that includes activities such as jet skiing, horseback riding, tubing, hiking, swimming, mountain biking, ropes course, and archery...just to name a few. In addition, nightly Club includes inspiring talks, hilarious skits, moving dramas, and teen testimonies related directly to the theme of the camp. “Many parents tell us that their children come for the jet skis and leave talking about their faith,” says co-founder, Jason Shanks.

CYSC is aligned with the goals and components of youth ministry as set forth in "Renewing the Vision" (the Catholic Church's blueprint for the continued development of effective ministry with young and older adolescents published by the USCCB, 1997) and seeks to enhance and support parish based youth ministry and catechetical programs.
