2010 Staff Reference Form

The applicant named below is seeking a volunteer position with Catholic Youth Summer Camp, a week-long residential camping experience for Middle School, Jr. High, and High School Students.  In its’ ninth season,

Catholic persons of sincere purpose, above average intellectual ability, and outstanding moral character and reputation are desired for our program.  Applicants must have completed their Junior year of High School by June 2010.  It is essential that applicants who are selected to serve as Small Group Counselors and camp Staff be excellent models of Catholic Christian faith who are physically fit, emotionally stable, and reasonably knowledgeable about the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. 

As the primary individual having the most significant interaction with campers, the Small Group Counselor or Staff person is especially vital to the CYSC ministry.  These assignments will be advantageous only if the applicant is qualified in terms of possessing excellent leadership abilities, relational skills, and Christian character.

Candidates will be selected based on camp need, applicant qualifications, three personal references, their ability to commit to training, and the date when all necessary paperwork is received to complete the applicant’s file.  Interviews will be scheduled with all applicants.  All applicants will receive notification of their selection status by May 1, 2010.
